Brother Laser MFP Feature Wireless, Duplexing, for Under $300

Brother is launching its next-generation monochrome laser MFPs for small offices and businesses, the MFC-7000 Series, which start at $199, and will ship in March for Web, dealer, and retail distribution. The flagship MFC-7860DW has an estimated street price of $299 and provides standard wireless network connectivity and automatic duplex printing. It also supports Brother’s iPrint&Scan, a free downloadable app that provides wireless printing of JPEG images from Apple mobile devices and Android  Smartphones, as well as scan to these mobile devices.

Specifications for the MFC-7360N are as follows:

  • 24 ppm print speed;
  • Ethernet network interface and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface;
  • Scan to e-mail, file, image, and OCR application;
  • 32 MB of memory;
  • High-capacity replacement toner cartridge;
  • $199 Estimated Street Price.

The MFC-7460DN is the same as the MFC-7360N, but is rated at up to 27 ppm and adds automatic duplex printing. Estimated street price is $249.

The MFC-7860DW is the same as the MFC-7460DN, but adds wireless 802.11b/g network interface, and the Brother iPrint&Scan app.  Estimated street price is $299.
