Vendors May Not Be Reaping MPS Profits
Art Post at his print4pay Hotel's MFP Solutions Blog Web site (www.p4photel.org) recently conducted an interesting survey that asked vendors selling Managed Print Services (MPS) how successful they felt they were in selling MPS. Altogether, a whopping 47 percent of respondents indicated that either MPS was not yielding the profits they had expected or they would not get into MPS if they had to choose all over again.
In the survey, vendors were asked: "You're now selling Managed Print Services 'Your thoughts now.' Basically tell us, is it working for you or not!" Respondents could choose from one of the following responses:
"It's been a great success for us" - 27 percent of respondents chose this response.
"It's been OK for us" - 26 percent of respondents chose this response.
"It's not reaping the profits we thought it would" - 37 percent of respondents chose this response.
"If we had to do it over, we would not have gotten into MPS" - 10 percent of respondents chose this response.
Art Post notes that they survey was conducted for approximately three weeks and that there were 91 respondents.
