Ricoh is ‘Unrivaled Leader’ in U.S. High-Speed Continuous-Feed Inkjet Production-Printer Market
Ricoh USA reports that it’s been named as the “unrivaled leader” in the high-speed inkjet continuous-feed production-printer market by market-research firm International Data Corporation (IDC). Ricoh’s InfoPrint 5000 and RICOH Pro VC60000 production printers have made Ricoh the high-speed inkjet market share leader in the United States, according to IDC’s newly published U.S. Quarterly Production Print Tracker for 4Q’15, which also includes the year’s cumulative installation numbers. Ricoh’s market share increased to 46 percent in 2015, which is more than twice that of the next closest competitor.
Released quarterly, IDC’s Production Printer Tracker provides a detailed database of information on the laser and high-speed inkjet market segments. The report includes data on overall market size, share by vendor, and five-year projections.
“With high-speed inkjet making significant gains in the market over the past few years, it is innovation that is driving more widespread adoption of the technology, and the numbers show that Ricoh is leading the way,” commented Amy Machado, research manager for IDC’s Hardcopy Peripheral Solutions. “Ricoh’s InfoPrint 5000 and the RICOH Pro VC60000 continue to speak to the needs of the market, winning the confidence of customers year after year, resulting in Ricoh leading the production print market.”
Ricoh recently announced new enhancements to its Pro VC60000 platform, including increased speed for greater production value, print-head parking that provides greater options and cost savings when printing in black and white, as well as extensions to its color control software, offering incredible flexibility when generating full-color applications.
