DuPont Digital Printing and Electronics for Imaging (EFI) Reggiani are introducing DuPont Artistri PK2600 digital textile pigment inks for use with EFI’s Reggiani ReNOIR digital textile printers. Artistri PK2600 inks were developed by DuPont for EFI Reggiani systems, and are designed primarily for cotton textile roll-to-roll printing. EFI says they provide performance comparable to that of reactive ink results.

In addition to cotton textile roll-to-roll printing, Artistri PK2600 ink also has been shown to work well on a number of fabrics that cannot be printed with reactive inks, including polyesters, viscose, cotton/polyester blends, and non-woven materials.

According to EFI, pigment inks provide a streamlined workflow, faster turnaround, and greatly improved environmental attributes that mills and print specifiers are demanding. It says Artistri PK2600 ink provides these benefits while still offering true color and soft feel comparable to reactive printing, and excellent fastness. Because Artistri PK2600 ink requires no steaming or washing production steps, EFI says job turnaround is significantly faster, while water and chemical usage and costs are minimized.

Artistri P5000+ Series Pigment Inks:

  • Are designed to work in printers with low-viscosity piezo-electric print heads.
  • Specially developed for direct-to-garment or roll-to-roll digital printing on cotton or cotton-rich blends.
  • Suitable for applications such as a variety of apparel- and specialty-printing applications.

Artistri 700 & 2500 Series Pigment Inks:

  • Are specially formulated for industrial aqueous-compatible, medium-viscosity piezo-electric print heads.
  • Designed for printing on a variety of fabrics, but most commonly used on cotton and cotton/poly blends.
  • Yield full-production quality crock-fastness upon drying and excellent wash-fastness after post-treating in an oven or calendaring.
  • Require no fabric pre-treatment or wet post-processing.
  • Are suitable for applications such as printing for apparel, home furnishings, flag, and banners.

Artistri 3500 Series Pigment Inks:

  • Are specially formulated for industrial aqueous-compatible, high-viscosity piezo-electric print heads.
  • Are designed for printing on a variety of fabrics, but are most commonly used on cotton and cotton/poly blends.
  • Yield full-production quality crock-fastness upon drying and excellent wash-fastness after post-treating in an oven or calendaring.
  • Requires no fabric pre-treatment or wet post-processing.
  • Applications include apparel, home furnishings, flags, and banners.

Manufactured in a DuPont ISO 9001-certified facility in Ft. Madison, Iowa, DuPont produces and tests every batch of Artistri ink to an extremely tight tolerance, which EFI says helps ensure its exceptional color saturation is repeatable, day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year.
