Eight New Copier/MFPs, New Solutions, from Fuji Xerox for Small and Mid-Size Businesses
Fuji Xerox of Tokyo is introducing new entry-level copier/MFPs and solutions for the small- and mid-size business market, consisting of eight DocuCentre-V series full-color and black-and-white copier/MFPs for the Asia-Pacific markets. The rollout of the new MFPs began in China in September, with four of the new models slated for launch in Japan starting October 23rd.
On November 12th, Fuji Xerox will also launch DocuWorks Tray 2, an optional software solution with enhanced features for delivery of digital documents into a virtual document tray in Fuji Xerox’s document-handling software called DocuWorks. On November 12th, Fuji Xerox will also announce a new cloud-based service, called DocuWorks Tray Document Tracking Service, which collects the operation logs of digital documents delivered into a digital document tray.
Main Features of DocuCentre-V Series
The new MFPs support AirPrint, Google Cloud Printing, and Mopria Print mobile printing to enable printing from mobile devices without having to install a specific application. When equipped with an optional Wireless LAN Converter, the MFPs may also be used with Wi-Fi Direct for mobile printing without a network router. The MFPs work with Fuji Xerox’s cloud-based online document-sharing service called Working Folder, so that users can view a fax received at the office on a mobile device.
Fuji Xerox says the new Scan Delivery function simplifies typical document scanning. Users can simply press a pre-configured button designed for the particular task, and the device names the scanned documents according to pre-defined rules and then automatically sends them to pre-defined destinations.
The new MFPs are also equipped with server-less on-demand printing, so that print jobs may be released for printing at enabled MFPs, for instance, at an MFP not currently printing another print job. The server-less user-authentication feature allows users to authenticate themselves to use the MFP from any device that’s connected to the same network, even in an environment without an authentication server.
