Kyocera Document Solutions of Osaka, Japan, reports that, for an undisclosed sum, it will acquire Ceyoniq Holding GmbH, a German enterprise content management(ECM) solutions-provider, making the Ceyoniq Group a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera.

Located in Bielefeld, northwest Germany, the Ceyoniq Group provides a variety of ECM solutions, including for companies in electric power and finance, as well as for government organizations in Germany.

By joining Kyocera, the Ceyoniq Group aims to strengthen its ECM business in the global market by using Kyocera’s sales and distribution channels.

In addition to hardware-centered product development, Kyocera says it will use the Ceyoniq Group’s expertise in order to strengthen its foundation in the IT-services market, which it says is positioned as a growth area.
