March 17, 2015 – Epson America is rolling out its latest personal document scanner, the Epson Perfection V39 ($99.99 MSRP) featuring 4,800 dpi optical resolution, no warm-up time, and buttons for scanning directly to email addresses and to PDF conversion. Users can also send scanned documents and photos to cloud-based storage sites such as Facebook and Google Drive. It’s also bundled with ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe software (Windows only), which stitches together over-size documents – such as legal documents, scrapbook pages, artwork, newspapers, magazine spreads and more   to create a single file.

Other features include front-located buttons for simple scan jobs, space-saving built-in kickstand for vertical document placement, Epson Easy Photo Fix technology for restoring color to faded photos, Advanced Digital Dust Correction to remove dust from scanned photos, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software for converting scanned documents into editable text.

  • Removable lid for accommodating bulky media such as books and photo albums.
  • USB powered: Requires only one source for power and connection to the computer with no AC adapter required
