Brother Seeking to Acquire Industrial Printer-Maker Domino Printing Sciences

Brother_LogoMarch 12, 2015 – Brother Industries of Japan reports that it is seeking to acquire British industrial printer-maker Domino Printing Sciences for £1,031, or about $1.55 billion U.S. The firm says the combination of Brother and Domino, which is based in Cambridge in the United Kingdom, will create a “well-positioned business” in industrial printing with an “excellent product offering.”

Domino’s board of directors is expected to unanimously recommend that shareholders accept Brother’s offer. Brother would pay £9.15 a share for all of outstanding Domino shares

Domino, manufactures and sells industrial inkjet, laser, and bar-code printers, was founded in 1978, and reported revenue of £350.2 million in 2014
