March 11, 2015 – Ricoh Americas is releasing three new black-and-white A3 (11″x17″) MFPs for small offices and workgroups, the Ricoh MP 4054 ($12,250 MSRP), MP 5054 ($14,725 MSRP), and MP 6054 ($18,925 MSRP), all of which provide printing from mobile devices, and cloud-based document management.

The new MFPs, which print at 40, 50 and 60 ppm respectively at 1,200 dpi resolution, feature a standard 220-sheet Single Pass Document Feeder (SPDF) that scans up to 180 color or black-and-white images per minute. Users can optionally convert scanned documents into text-searchable PDF files with the included optical character recognition (OCR) software.

With the new MP 4054, MP 5054, and MP 6054, users can utilize the new Ricoh Smart Device Connector app (available for both iOS and Android) to copy, print, scan, and fax from and to their mobile device. They simply touch their mobile device to the NFC tag on the MFPs’ optional Smart Operation Panel, or scan the QR Code to automatically connect to the MFPs to access these functions.

The MFPs’ optional Smart Operation Panel provides tablet-like drag-and-drop, pinch-flick-and-swipe navigation via a 10.1-inch Super VGA display. The interface includes a Web browser providing connection to Ricoh’s Integrated Cloud Environment (ICE).

The MFPs are Energy Star-certified for energy consumption, and earned EPEAT Gold certification for eco-friendliness. The optional Smart Operation Panel includes an eco-friendly indicator to warn users of excessive paper usage. Various user-authentication options, including card authentication and PIN code, are available. The new MFPs feature a variety of document-finishing options, including a 500-sheet internal finisher for the MP 4054 and MP 5054.

The MP 4054 and MP 5054 replace the MP 4002 and MP 5002 respectively. The MP 6054 is a “net-new” 60 ppm model.
