February 25, 2015 – Ricoh Americas Corporation is launching two new A4 desktop devices, the Ricoh SP 4510SF black-and-white MFP ($1,099 MSRP) with print, copy, fax and color scan, and the Riroch SP 4510DN black-and-white printer ($725 MSRP), both rated at up to 42 ppm, and which use Ricoh’s new LED printing toner-based technology.

The SP 4510SF and SP 4510DN, both of which provide automatic two-sided duplex printing, can print on up to legal-size paper and media thickness of up to 90 lb. index and 43 lb. bond from every paper tray. They also comply with Energy Star 2.0 energy-conservation guidelines, and with the SP 4510DN, there’s an ECO-Night Sensor that powers the device down when departing employees turn the lights off.

Also standard is DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS), which destroys latent data stored on the optional hard drive after printing, as well as encryption of sensitive documents stored on the optional hard drive. Optional proximity card authentication restricts printing of documents until the print-job owner swipes their proximity card.

For mobile printing, there’s the downloadable Ricoh Smart Device Print&Scan app. An optional connection to the Ricoh Integrated Cloud Environment service enables the SP 4510SF MFP to connect with cloud-based services for document storage via the 4.3″ touch screen. With it, users can print from and scan directly to apps such as Ricoh DocumentMall, Evernote, Dropbox, and Google Drive without the need for on-site servers, system integration, or software updates. The SP 4510SF MFP also includes optional embedded optical character recognition (OCR) software for converting scanned documents into searchable PDFs.

Both devices can be managed as part of a fleet using Ricoh’s Device Manager NX Lite or @Remote device-management software.
