EFI Self-Serve Station 2February 9, 2015 – Electronics for Imaging (EFI) reports that Canon U.S.A. is now offering EFI self-serve print-for-pay capabilities with the EFI Self-Serve M500 Copy and Print Station and EFI Self-Serve AdminCentral for use with many Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs. EFI’s Self-Serve M500 Copy and Print Station and Self-Serve AdminCentral are typically used in environments such as college campuses where users pay for prints and copies.

EFI’s M500 Self-Serve Copy and Print Station allows copying of hard-copy documents and printing of PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, images, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and more from a USB flash drive, mobile phone, tablet, laptop, email services, and from cloud-based services such as EFI PrintMe, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive. Users securely pay for their prints with credit, cash, and campus cards.

The EFI M500 is compliant with the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), and is one of the first applications to be validated under version 3.0 of the standard.

EFI Self-Serve AdminCentral, a cloud-based Web application, enables administrators to set up M500 stations and manage multiple stations anywhere, anytime with a Web browser. Administrators can configure devices, add services without changing hardware, and set or adjusting prices and tax rates. They can also generate detailed sales and usage reports, monitor real-time device status, and update device software online.
