In SMB Drive, Xerox’s Global Imaging Acquires Las Vegas Dealer

Global Imaging Systems Large LogoXerox reports that, for an undisclosed sum, its Global Imaging Systems subsidiary has acquired Élan Office Systems, which will now offer Xerox’s full range of office and printing technology as well as its existing product line, in addition to providing production print and mail solutions, and printer fleet and managed services. Xerox says the acquisition will help drive its efforts in the small and mid-size (SMB) market.

“We continue to expand our network of locally based companies with a proven track record of delivering world-class customer service, and helping clients simplify the way they work,” commented Michael Pietrunti, senior vice president of Acquisitions, Corporate Services and Marketing, for Global Imaging Systems. “This acquisition expands our coverage in Las Vegas complementing the existing footprint.”

“By aligning with GIS and Xerox, we re-affirm our commitment to offering the most innovative new products and services, backed by our 25 years of experience,” says Peter Cherubino, president of Élan Office Systems. “The acquisition reinforces our presence in the Las Vegas metropolitan area and gives us more ways to help companies streamline their workflow and increase office efficiency.”

Cherubino will remain as president of Élan Office Systems.

Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox Company, is made up of regional core companies in the United States that sell and service document-management systems such as printers, copiers and multifunction devices; network-integration services; and electronic presentation systems.As an office technology dealer, Global Imaging Systems sells products from various suppliers including Xerox, Toshiba, Samsung and Konica Minolta. Xerox acquired Global Imaging Systems in 2007, and operates it as a wholly owned subsidiary within Xerox’s North American operations.
