Epson India has introduced a mini desktop version of Epson’s SureLab D3000 professional color inkjet photo printer, the SureLab D700, which is designed for use by commercial photographers and photo labs.
The new six-color SureLab D700 uses Epson’s Micro Piezo print-head technology for color inkjet printing, and prints at up to 1,440 x 720 dpi resolution using variable-size ink droplets,. It print up to one metre (39.3″) in length, and Epson’s optional proprietary OrderController V3.0 software provides print-job estimation, print-job scheduling, image editing, and color-management.
The D700 is designed for printing photos, cards, invitations, flyers, and promotional leaflets on a wide range of media and formats, including glossy, lustre, and matte roll paper from 102 0 210 mm wide (3.9″ – 8.2″) and from 89 – 1,000 mm in length (3.5″ – 39.3″).
It uses six Epson UltraChrome D6-S ink – black, cyan, light cyan, magenta, light magenta, and yellow. It’s also available in Europe, where it’s priced at 3,510.50 euro (approximately $4,482.00 U.S.). Other specifications include:
- Print 60 4″ x 6″ (10x15cm) prints per hour,or eight 4×6″ prints per second.
- Print on media from 4″ x 4″ to 8″ x 39″ (10 cm x 9 cm to 21 cm x 100 cm).
- Borderless printing.
- USB 2.0 interface.
- Compatible operating systems consist of Apple Mac OS 10.5+, and Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 7 x64, and Windows 8.
- Printer measures 18.1″ wide x 16.9″ deep x 13.9″ high( 460 wide x 430 deep x 354 high mm).
