Memjet reports that it will join OEM partners Afinia, Canon, Formax, Neopost, Printware LLC, RTI Digital, and Xante at the Graph Expo 2014 trade show being held next week in Chicago, Illinois. At the event, Memjet’s partners will demonstrate a variety of new and current printing systems that use Memjet’s Waterfall Technology page-wide color inkjet printing.

Afinia Label (booth 4224) will demonstrate the L801 and new DLP-2000, which are designed for brand owners and label converters seeking short- to mid-run print runs. The target applications are inventory or product-identification label-creation with what Memjet says is an industry-leading total cost of ownership. The L801, powered by Memjet technology, is an industrial web-fed inkjet printer that provides full-color printing at up to 60 feet per minute and up to 8.5″ wide.

Canon USA (booth 613) will showcase the ColorWave 900, which delivers a print resolution of 1,600 dpi at speeds of 1,100 square meters per hour. Canon offers a range of branded media to support the ColorWave 900 in a wide variety of legacy and new wide-format printing applications.

Formax (booth 2048) will exhibit the ColorMax 7 Digital Color Printer, powered by a Memjet print head to provide 70,400 ink nozzles, full-color CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) output. The ColorMax 7 comes in two configurations, designed for either label or envelope printing. It produces up to 16.8 million colors on a variety of paper stocks and sizes, with full-bleed capability on media up to 8.5″ wide. It can print 1,600 x 1,600 dpi at 6 inches per second, and 1,600 x 800 dpi at 12 inches per second.

Neopost USA (booth 2602) will show three color-printing systems powered by Memjet: the AS-950c (Mach 5), Mach 8, and Mach X. The AS-950c (Mach 5) printer provides 1,600 dpi resolution, and Memjet says it provides the fastest return on investment in its segment for direct-mail and trans0promotional printing. The Mach 8 is a digital color printer targeting the large work group environment with a 60 ppm print speed in full-color, and features a 5,000-sheet paper capacity. The Mach X is a digital color label printer that provides full-color printing at 1,600 dpi resolution and supports printing on up to 9″ labels.

Printware (booth 1949) will demonstrate its iJetColor Press, a digital color printing solution bundled with an industry-standard Xitron Navigator Harlequin RIP and workflow and an iJetColor ink pack capable of printing thousands of four-color jobs. Memjet says the iJetColor Press can be used to produce low-cost, personalized printed images in print volume as low as one unit, with a print speed three times that of competitive toner devices at roughly one-third the consumables cost of traditional toner devices.

RTI Digital (booth 4043) will showcase two Vortex 4200 printers, each featuring five stacked Memjet print heads spanning 42″ that support 1,600 dpi printing at 12 inches per second. Erik Norman, President of RTI-Digital will also present “New Revenues & Profits with Memjet — Case Study Highlights” in the ISA Wide Format Innovation Theater on September 30th at 2:30 pm CDT.

Xante (booth 431) will show the Excelagraphix 4200 printing at one-foot-per-second on corrugated, RSCs and die-cut sheets to provide box and product manufacturers the ability to produce short print runs faster and more cost-effectively than with more costly analog presses.
