Drivve Image Capture and Drivve Print Management for Smart OKI MFPs Now Available

smart-logo-with-productsAs part of a recent global-distribution agreement negotiated between OKI Data Corporation and Drivve, Inc.,OKI Data Americas is announcing that embedded versions of the Drivve | Image image-capture, and Drivve | Print print-management and cost-recovery solutions are now available for OKI MFPs that incorporate OKI’s smart Extendable Platform. Together, OKI says its smart MFPs and the embedded Drivve solutions deliver enhanced document-workflow and document life-cycle management to the workplace.

Drivve solutions bring print-tracking and reporting, secure user authentication, and cost-recovery features to OKI smart MFP users. Drivve solutions also provide image-capture and processing, plus print and output management, allowing instant access to scanned documents, all with full security. OKI says Drivve solutions are robust enough to handle thousands of printers and MFPs, and are ideal for large workgroups.

At their core, Drivve solutions convert paper documents and route the resulting electronic files to an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or document-management system. The process is automated to ensure security of documents, and accuracy and consistency of scanned documents.

Drivve | Image modules consist of:

Scanner Power Tools for:

  • Creating personalized multi-step scan profiles.
  • Image cleaning and Bates Stamping.
  • Automatic file-name generation and folder creation.
  • Converting images and adding metadata.

Microsoft Exchange and Fax Connector for:

  • Scanning into Microsoft Exchange.
  • Accessing personal address books at the MFP.
  • Output to multiple fax servers/services such as RightFax, FaxCore, iFax, GoFax, and others.

OCR Module for:

Pull Printing:

  • After logging in, users can access a list of confidential print jobs from the MFP’s touch panel for immediate printing.

  • Displays QR-code on MFPs for print-app release.
  • Supports delegate printing and self-registration.

Device Authentication

  • Users securely log-in to the MFP with their corporate ID card to access their scan folders, print jobs, and personal MFP settings.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) ensures that only one log-in is required to access the MFP’s features and functions.
  • Forces users to authenticate themselves in order to print, copy, scan, and fax.
  • Encrypts both User ID and password when authenticating users.

  • QR-code, ID card, AD/LDAP, and PIN/Shortcode user authentication.
