Brother International Corporation (BIC-USA) announced today that Tadashi Ishiguro has become the director and chairman of BIC-USA, and will be spending more of his time focusing on strategic and long-term initiatives. Kazufumi (“Kaz”) Ikeda was also appointed director and president of BIC-USA.
Ikeda served as director and executive vice president of BIC-USA, responsible for all of the administrative functions of BIC-USA, since 2013. He was first employed by Brother Industries of Japan in 1985, and has held various positions with the Brother Group, including general manager of corporate planning for Brother Industries of Japan, and deputy managing director, responsible for general management of Brother International Germany GmbH. He has been with BIC-USA since 2013.
Ishiguro was hired by Brother Industries of Japan in 1984, and was transferred to Brother International Corporation (USA) in 1987. Ishiguro held numerous positions with BIC-USA, and was named president of BIC-USA in January 2005.
Toshikazu “Terry” Koike, representative director and president of Brother Industries of Japan, commented, “Tadashi has led BIC-USA, the Americas headquarters of Brother, to achieve record-breaking results and has made Brother Americas (North and South America included) stronger and more competitive, while traversing the economic down-turns of the last decade. Kaz brings a new perspective through various experience including international assignments in Germany and corporate planning for BIL and we are counting on him to lead BIC-USA to achieve the next phase of our Global Vision 21 goals. I am very excited for the both of them and expect them to continue to work together with the current capable management team in furtherance of Brother business in the Americas.”
