DocuWare is now offering its DocuWare document-management solution on a “Software as a Service (SaaS) basis. Called DocuWare Online, this new SaaS solution lets users store and process paper documents, email messages, files and electronic records in the cloud. Under the SaaS licensing model, pricing is based on the number of documents, with an unlimited number of users.
With DocuWare Online, documents of any type format and from different sources are all stored in a data center in a secure, tamper-free way. All features of the document management system are available via Web browser. Documents can be stored, searched, viewed, downloaded, edited and integrated into workflows. Also provided is integration of an online archive with existing programs. After entering an ID, users enter their familiar working environment. As with an on-premise solution, all documents can be accessed from anywhere and at any time, via PC, smartphone or tablet.
DocuWare says security is guaranteed through encrypted storage of documents, while data can only be accessed via SSL and HTTPS. It also says it’s set up “a sophisticated method” for restricting access, extending from the lowest technical levels.
DocuWare Online pricing is based on the amount of documents stored; the number of users is unlimited. It’s available via DocuWare ‘s network of Authorized DocuWare Partners (ADPs). A free 30-day trial for DocuWare Online is available at www.docuware-online.com.
