Sharp Electronics Eliminates U.S. Marketing and Communications Department

Advertising Age reports that Sharp Electronics has eliminated its 12-person U.S. marketing and communications department. It also reports that, according to The Wall Street Journal, Sharp will eliminate up to 3,000 positions, mostly in Japan, and will post a loss of over $1 billion in its upcoming quarterly earnings report.
