Canon Prevails in pcRush Toner-Cartridge Lawsuit

Canon has prevailed in a toner-cartridge patent-infringement dispute with Atman, Inc. d/b/a pcRUSH.com (“pcRUSH”) settled in the International Trade Commission and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

As a result of a resolution reached on March 9, pcRUSH has agreed to a Consent Order from the International Trade Commission and Consent Judgment and Permanent Injunction from the Southern District of New York that prohibits pcRUSH from making, using, selling and offering for sale in the U.S., and from importing into the U.S., toner cartridges and imaging drums used by Canon and Hewlett-Packard laser printers.

In January, Canon also filed a toner-cartridge patent-infringement lawsuit against Clover Holdings and Dataproducts Imaging Solutions. The complaint can be accessed here.
