Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. has begun shipping its bizhub 423 series of mid-range monochrome A3 office MFPs, which it will distribute via its dealer and direct channels. List pricing starts at $5,757 for the office MFPs, which the firm previewed at its Power of Performance conference last month, and which notably are among the first Konica Minolta office MFPS to incorporate color scanning (at up to 70 originals per minute).
Other enhancements include mobile-printing from Bluetooth-compatible devices; users may also send files from Bluetooth devices and save them in user boxes in hard-drive memory.
The bizhub 423 series is built on the bizhub C360 family’s Emperon controller, and maintains the same control panel and user interface among the bizhub family for a consistent end-user experience. Of note is a strong security suite, including Common Access Criteria, hard-drive erasing, and encryption of stored data on hard drives.
The MFPs are also bEST-enabled for incorporating custom applications for security, document management, etc. that can be activated at the control panel. Scan locations include FTP servers, SMB, and e-mail; TWAIN scanning from PCs is also provided.
Pricing is as follows: $11,126 for the 42-ppm bizhub 423; $10,126 for the 36-ppm bizhub 363; $6,957 for the 28-ppm bizhub 283; and $5,757 for the for 22-ppm bizhub 232.
