New Kyocera Mita MFPs For SMB Start At $1,695
Kyocera Mita America is expanding its TASKalfa family of MFPs with two new A3 monochrome MFPs for small and mid-size businesses, the TASKalfa 220 and TASKalfa 180, which it rates at up to 22 and 18 ppm respectively.
In their standard configurations, the TASKalfa 220 and 180 are digital copiers, with optional controller for printing. The print option includes Microsoft Windows GDI printing for host-based printing, and incorporates a 150MHz FlexRISC CPU and 32 MB of memory. A 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet interface for network connectivity is optional.
The TASKalfa 220 has a maximum monthly volume of up to 30,000 pages, while the TASKalfa 180 has a maximum monthly volume of up to 20,000 pages.
Media-handling for both systems includes standard 400-sheet paper capacity, support for up to 90 lb. index stock via the bypass tray, and support for 11″ x 17″ via all sources. A 50-sheet reversing automatic document feeder (RADF) for duplex copying is optional. Maximum paper capacity is 1,300 sheets via three optional 300-sheet paper drawers.
Both systems employ Kyocera Mita’s long-life consumables technology, including the company’s organic photoconductor (OPC) drum technology, and have preventive maintenance (PM) schedules of 150,000 pages for longer “uptime.” Kyocera Mita is distributing the TASKalfa 220 and TASKalfa 180 via its authorized dealers at list prices of $1,895 and $1,695 respectively.
